The terms that apply when you use the website and when you buy a SafeCut tool.
These terms are split into two parts. Part A covers using the website. Part B covers buying products from us. By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms — please read them.
This website is operated by SafeCut, a UK business based in Middlesbrough. Contact: contact@safecut.co.uk.
You may use the site for lawful, personal or trade-related purposes. You must not:
We try hard to keep the site accurate and up to date. The information here is provided in good faith but is not a substitute for professional advice. Photographs and videos are illustrative and the actual product appearance may vary slightly.
All content on the site — including the SafeCut name, logo, product images, video and copy — is owned by SafeCut or licensed to us. You may not reuse it commercially without our written permission. You're welcome to share links to pages on the site.
We sometimes link out to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
To the extent allowed by law, we exclude all warranties and conditions that are not expressly set out in these terms. We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under UK law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
Orders are currently placed by email or via the enquiry form. Once you submit an order enquiry we will reply with availability, total price (including VAT and delivery), payment options and an estimated dispatch date. A binding contract is formed only when we email you to confirm your order. Until that point either of us can withdraw.
Prices quoted include UK VAT where applicable. Payment is taken in pounds sterling (GBP). We accept payment by bank transfer or invoice; details will be in our reply.
We aim to dispatch in-stock items within 3 working days of receiving cleared payment. Delivery is via a UK courier; we'll share a tracking reference where available. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
If you are buying as a consumer (not for trade use), you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To cancel, email contact@safecut.co.uk. Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and the return is at your cost unless the item is faulty. We will refund the purchase price (and standard outbound delivery, if applicable) within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If something arrives faulty, contact us within a reasonable time and we will repair, replace or refund as appropriate.
For trade and wholesale orders, separate terms may apply — these will be agreed in writing before the order is placed.
SafeCut is a hand tool for marking and scoring sheet materials. While it is designed to reduce friction burns and splinters associated with traditional board-gliding, no tool eliminates risk entirely. Always use appropriate PPE, follow safe-working practices, and exercise normal site judgement. We accept no liability for injury or damage arising from misuse, modification, or use outside the product's intended scope.
Our total liability for any claim arising from a sale will not exceed the price you paid for the product, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms from time to time — the “Last updated” date will reflect any changes. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
